The way he is swooping down from his celestial home of light in the sky...that is what held me in rapture all the night long as I did the secret painting of the cloud-light in the sky.The
Eagle is a messenger spirit of courage and clear thinking.
I planned the eagle by researching via photos.This one had the passion and power
I wanted. I painted the eagle onto the paper with masket, (a rubber paint that is
oil and water resistant). I left lots of space without paint so that the background marbling could suffuse into the image. Then I made magic in the vat with earth and sky colors and
touched my eagle to the paints surface. When dry enough to work, I rubbed off the masket
and began to paint the subtle details.
